Tell us about the professional journey that took you where you are today. What major lessons did you learn along the way?
Circuitous? After undergrad, I was a consultant in DC. And then a PhD economics student in Texas. And now I’m a startup lawyer in Silicon Valley, with nearly a decade of experience.
Overarching philosophy: Throw everything you have at the current endeavor and see what sticks. If nothing (or not much), pivot and try again. On my third professional try, I think I’ve found my personal product/market fit ;).
Who are your role models and why?
Right now, my mom. I’ve got a toddler, and “momming” and working during the pandemic, particularly with all family far, far away, is TOUGH — and making me sentimental for all the really great childhood memories my mom (and dad!) gave me and my sister.
