“CHANGE FOR WOMEN, BY WOMEN.”Ready Set Raise Recaps
Two weeks have passed since Demo Night and it’s still a surreal experience for me. My team and I have spent this time reflecting on Ready Set Raise, following up with our participants, and evaluating our feedback. We realized that since the idea sparked in June, till Demo Night in September, we built the program in a total of 122 days, for 8 founders. Needless to say, it wasn’t easy. The worst thing I could do is glamorize the process, because we have enough of that happening in our industry. To be brutally honest it took countless check-in calls, continuous collaborative in-person meetings and a couple nanny nights to execute. It took a village, the entire city of Seattle in fact, and I am damn proud of the results. Our team, supporters, and community worked intensely and intentionally to give the support these founders needed in one of the most crucial points of their startup journey – fundraising. We’ve learned more than a few things along the way, received feedback from the participants, and feel more inspired than ever to continue investing in female founders. The good news is that this is just the beginning! We have big plans on the horizon and with our mission in mind to create change for women, by women, we will build our legacies together in the business world and beyond.
From my team and I, thank you for being a part of our journey.
