David Hornik is a Founding Partner with Lobby Capital and the creator and Executive Producer of The Lobby Conference. He invests broadly in information technology companies, with a focus on enterprise applications and infrastructure software, fintech, and consumer-facing software and services. He is the author of the first Venture Capital blog, VentureBlog and first Venture Capital podcast, VentureCast. Prior to Lobby Capital, David was a General Partner at August Capital for 20 years. David teaches business and law at Harvard Law School and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
The fireside was between David and Leslie Feinzaig, founder and Managing Director of Graham & Walker. In 2017, she founded the Female Founders Alliance, the largest and most engaged community of its kind in America, and its popular founder programs, dubbed “the YC for Female Founders” by Techcrunch. Leslie is a contributing writer at Fortune Magazine, Fast Company and Techcrunch. She was named one of Forbes Magazine’s Most Powerful Women from Central America, Worth Magazine’s Worthy 100, Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40, and Seattle Magazine’s Most Influential People. Born and raised in Costa Rica, Leslie moved to the US to attend Harvard Business School on a full scholarship. She now lives in Seattle with her husband and two young daughters.
