Here’s February’s funding report:
🗺️ Proxi a no-code interactive mapping startup, closed $1.2M in an oversubscribed pre-seed round, led by Graham & Walker, with participation from Techstars, Madrona Pioneer Fund, Pack Ventures, Tacoma Venture Fund, FAM Fund and Keeler Investments Group, plus contributions from unnamed angel investors.
✨ Code visualization platform, CodeSee recently announced a $7 million secondary seed on top of the $3 million it received in 2020. The round was led by new investors Wellington Access Ventures, Plexo Capital and Menlo Ventures along with several industry angels who had participated in the first seed investment.
🎨 Direct-to-consumer paint disruptor Clare, announced an $8M round led by Pendulum, bringing the company’s total Series A raise to $12.2M.
💍 Gemist, a CA-based fine jewelry brand and digital platform, raised $3m in seed funding led by Entrada Ventures and co-investor De Beers Group Ventures.
🌱 MI based LandscapeHub, a provider of wholesale marketplace that connects landscape and nursery buyers with a network of suppliers, raised $9M in Series A funding led by Klaff Realty and Hyde Park Venture Partners.
🛍️ Zero Grocery, a zero-waste grocery delivery service, announced $11.8M in new seed funding, led by Sway Ventures.
👩🏿🤝👩🏼 Playbook, global Edtech platform for women, closed pre-seed funding of $700K backed by San-Francisco based Venture Capital firm – 500 Global, Saudi-based Sovereign Wealth Fund – Sanabil Investments, Kuwait-based Venture Capital firm – Faith Capital, Saudi-based Angel Investor Network – Women Spark.
💱 Cryptocurrency manager Makara, was acquired by leading independent robo-adviser Betterment earlier this month. The deal, whose financial terms were not revealed, is expected to conclude later this quarter.
